The National Society of High School Scholars Foundation recognizes the need to produce more graduates with knowledge and skills in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)  disciplines in order to meet the competitive challenges of the technology-driven global economy of the 21st century. Monster Worldwide, which supports programs that offer individuals access to the academic foundation necessary to succeed, acknowledges the Foundation's goals and is awarding ten (10) $1,000 STEM scholarships for the 2010 academic year to students residing in the following Monster communities:

  • Canada: Montreal
  • Canada: Toronto
  • Czech Republic: Brno
  • Czech Republic: Prague
  • Germany: Eschborn
  • Franch: Paris
  • India: Hyderabad
  • The Netherlands: Amdsterdam
  • South Korea: Seoul
  • United Kingdom: London
  • Eligibility requirements include a 3.5 minimum grade point on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent.  Recipients will be selected based on academic record verified by transcript, educator recommendation, personal statement, and list of STEM-related activities.  Successful applicants must demonstrate a true commitment to the pursuit of a STEM college track.  Applicants must be in their last year of secondary education before entering a university, must attend a state-run school or free-tuition school, and must use the scholarship funds to attend a university in the student's home country.
