The Claes Nobel School of Distinction Award
The Claes Nobel School of Distinction Award was established in March 2004 to recognize and reward high schools for meritorious achievement in academics and community service, or other areas that encourage the intellectual or humanitarian development of their students. The Foundation is now focusing on recognizing schools that particularly foster student interest and participation in STEM career subjects: Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Technology. The Foundation will select secondary schools twice yearly during the academic year to highlight and to award $500.00 to be used by the school for the purpose that the school deems appropriate. Selection is based on nominations from individuals and from a selection committee. The award is open to both private and public schools.
