"I was born and raised in Fitchburg, WI, and graduated from Oregon High School in Oregon, WI. I was raised in a religious environment and as such, I learned I loved volunteering at a young age. In high school I ended up serving four years on the St. Vincent de Paul Youth Service Council of Madison, WI as Vice President, Co-President, and President. This group comprised of high school students representing their schools and churches who as a group plan service events to benefit the community. As President, I enjoyed leading our meetings and getting to spearhead our new events, as well as developing leadership skills and learning about myself as a person. I also love playing the trumpet, and in addition to being the lead player in my high school band, I spent four years participating in Shadow Drum and Bugle Corps in the summers. This upcoming year in college I plan to major in Archaeology, as I am passionate about history and want to better understand where we came from."
